Consent comes first
Before any AI feature, we show you what that page does with your information and ask you to acknowledge that Mr. Pill is an AI — not a doctor — and to explicitly consent to sending the health information you enter to an AI model. You can decline and simply not use that feature.
Saving is off by default
Your conversations are not stored unless you turn on saved history yourself — it is a separate, off-by-default choice. If you leave it off, nothing you type is written to our database.
What we store (only if you opt in)
Conversations you chose to save, files you upload and the text taken from them, and your consent record. Uploaded files are never publicly accessible. We also keep a safety-audit trail of automated triage/validator decisions — these contain no health text and are not linked to you.
How long we keep it
Saved conversations and uploads are kept for 30 days by default, then removed. Backups that could contain your data are retained no longer than 35 days, so deleting your data removes it from backups within that window too.
Who processes your data
- Self-hosted AI (local Ollama on the operator's own server) — Generating plain-language health information from your question (Operator-controlled server).
What we never do
Your health data is never used for marketing, never sold, and never shared with third parties except as required by law. It never appears in analytics, error logs, or email subjects.
Your controls
From your dashboard you can export everything held for your session as a file, or permanently delete it. Deletion is a genuine hard delete of your conversations, uploads, and consent record — not a hidden flag.
Our positioning
We follow data-minimization, purpose-limitation, and user-control practices. We do not claim HIPAA or GDPR certification. This policy is being reviewed under Nepal’s Privacy Act 2075; the final legal terms and operating-entity details will be published here.
